The chinese pavillon and a windmill

Yesterday my wife and her daughter wanted to go to an old windmill and have our coffee there. While in the neighbourhood I suggested we also should visit Grönsöö castle. One of few castles in Sweden where the residents are still from the original owners family.

The first to meet us is Queen Kristinas limetree planted in 1623.

The castle, built in 1611.

At the lakeside this nice and small chinese pavillon resides on a short pier.

Then  we hit the road for the windmill in Kungs Husby.

We finally had our coffee.

Stockholm in Midsummer

Still alone at home I decided to check out what Stocholm is like at Midsummer. You know, people abandon the city for their summer cottages or the archipelago. I guess half of the citizens is elsewhere than Stockholm on Midsummer Eve and the day after they sleep to get sober. At approximately 7:30 I was at Sergel plaza and got that spooky feeling being the only one left in town. Ok, I met a few but it was like I expected. Extraordinary empty. Here are some shots as proof.

I used my Rolleiflex by the way.

Malmö trip

My wife left me for Moscow and her father for a month and I decided to have some fun on my own. On the Swedish national day I took the X2000 train to Malmö just for the fun and with a plan to do a lot of photographing. I didn't bring any digital shit but just my Zeiss ZM rangefinder camera with a wide angle and a short tele lens. In three days I shot four rolls.

An old schoolmate of mine wrote "Malmö" on his Facebook status and I replied a question if he was there and a statement that I was too. We met of course. His girlfriend is also an old friend of mine and her daughter had an exhibition there. That's why the coincidence.

Prince Bertil Memorial

The annual race with vintage cars, Prince Bertil Memorial, was performed late in May. This time I configured my Rolleiflex with a pistol grip and arranged the viewfinder as a sport finder. When I just arrived there it started pouring and soon it was like flooding from heaven. Well, I shot four rolls standing under huge trees and here is some of my yield.
