Archipelago by car

I miss the boat I had although I know it took a lot of work to get it in the water every Spring. My youngest son visited last weekend and we went for a ride in the archipelago of Stockholm. However all roads are drawn in the middle of the big islands. Too far to spot any water. Except at bridges. We managed to peek out here and there and watch the sea at a ferry berth and a marina. And a part of the trip was made with two ferries. A castle came our way. I was there last year and found it totally wrapped with a blue net for construction work. This year at least the front façade was finished. Almost.

 My "boat" firmly tied up.

East coast

Although we live in Stockholm it is still an hour to go to the East coast. Last Saturday we went to Bullandö marina. A great place if you have a boat. For me it just made me sick and tired to be without it. Yet I have decided not to buy another one. From Bullandö we took a different route home over Vaxholm which included two ferrries. In Vaxholm we couldn't find a place to park so we went on to Bogesund castle. Small but nice-looking according to the web site. We found it under construction. Facade facelift was the ongoing project under hideous blue curtains.
