One thing I dislike with Christmas is that it lasts too long. Here in Sweden we have Christmas from mid November until mid January. I would rather celebrate like the french. For a couple of days. Last Sunday I celebrated with my sons and my grandchildren. For the rare occasion when we were all together in the same place at the same time it was practical to make our Christmas apart from traditions. I don't mind. And of course the kids didn't mind to have their gifts in advance. Here are some pictures.
And I shot some family pictures. Even the dog wanted to be in it.
Grandma acted clown for the smiles.

Still life
I'm not a still life photographer but when the analogue photo club had a meeting just for it I decided to join anyway and take some shots of my fellow photographers shooting still life. There was a lot of talking and less of photography in my opinion but we had a great time, as we usually have.

Time flies
It's already at the end of November. Autumn passed so swiftly I almost didn't notice. Trees were yellow, of course, and soon thereafter they were naked. Like the bear they go to sleep over the Winter and is back in Spring. I wish I could do the same but I'm left to survive yet another ice age.
Well what happened since last posting? My Summer was almost 100% analogue regarding photography and surprisingly I felt very good about it! Lo' here are my Summer memories...
We went to Gotland, the large island of the Baltic sea
Ferry chimney
Flatiron café
Strand Hotel
Windswept forrest at the coastline
Cherry garden café
Climber
Funny cage
Chip houses in Visby port
Closer to home on the islands of Mälaren
Flea market and a rural café at Rosenhill on Ekerö island
Sånga windmill on Färingsö island
Yet another cherry garden at Svartsjö at Färingsö island
And of course I walked the streets of Stockholm capturing the city life.
Split frame
Heavy heaven
Walking the dogs?
Postal service
A cup of coffee
I met some people I used to know
Well, that's about it. Time flies...

The chinese pavillon and a windmill
Yesterday my wife and her daughter wanted to go to an old windmill and have our coffee there. While in the neighbourhood I suggested we also should visit Grönsöö castle. One of few castles in Sweden where the residents are still from the original owners family.
The first to meet us is Queen Kristinas limetree planted in 1623.
The castle, built in 1611.
At the lakeside this nice and small chinese pavillon resides on a short pier.
Then we hit the road for the windmill in Kungs Husby.
We finally had our coffee.

Stockholm in Midsummer
Still alone at home I decided to check out what Stocholm is like at Midsummer. You know, people abandon the city for their summer cottages or the archipelago. I guess half of the citizens is elsewhere than Stockholm on Midsummer Eve and the day after they sleep to get sober. At approximately 7:30 I was at Sergel plaza and got that spooky feeling being the only one left in town. Ok, I met a few but it was like I expected. Extraordinary empty. Here are some shots as proof.
I used my Rolleiflex by the way.
